Re: Basically it's Monday
Hola mamacitas. I had an long night so I am still trying to get on with my day.
I don't think you ever can turn off that response to the tantrums Janine. We are moms, we are wired that way. ![]() LOL at MH's conference results. We have had issues with that as well, because we have always encouraged free drawing and writing and not coloring books and writing on lined paper, so they had a real hard time with trace this and color in the lines. And both Ginger and Ian do not like to write at all. We had to finally get Ginger motivated by writing letters to people. Now she writes short notes, stories, and lists all the time. As long as she doesn't have to write a long story or color something in the lines. ![]() My weekend didn't go as planned so I didn't get to take advantage of the Leapfrog sales at TRU and Target for the Angel gift for the 6YO girl, which are due today. But then I looked online, saw Kohls had 20% off Leapfrog and 20% coupons for everything (25% if you spend $100+) so I went and got a Leapster for about $50, less if I apply the discounts from the other stuff I would have bought without the coupon. I know I was supposed to stay around $40, but I just couldn't do a Tag and Tag book, or three preschool toys, since I didn't know her reading level. I have a few EEUC paperback classics I was going to throw in, duplicates from our library...and I came across an American Girl Addy book, the Christmas one. It's not a duplicate, and it was printed in the 80s, but it is still in pristine condition although the artwork on the cover gives away its vintage. Should I include it? There is a very good chance the girl is the same ethnicity as Addy, and it is a Christmas book anyway.

Re: Basically it's Monday
I am annoyed now. DH and I agreed to buy one gift, this 3 in 1 table game that was small and not electric, as the kids' sole present from us since they are getting other gifts from Santa and family. Didn't think it was a hot commodity, and wanted to wait to spend the $100 until after the paycheck hit. Well, I check this morning, and it was exclusive to WM, they had a rollback to $80 over the weekend, and it was bombed all over the deal websites. So it's completely out of stock and not available anywhere. And there is nothing like it anywhere else for remotely close to the price. so we are back to the drawing board, and if we want to ship or ship to store anything we have to decide quickly.

Re: Basically it's Monday
Slowly I'm getting Christmas sorted out.
I ordered a bunch of stuff today. Shannon: A book stand (hers broke), a stainless steel thermo cup, a puzzle ball, and 2 winzlinge cats (they are a Furreal pet). Knitted dress matching to her sisters. Still need to get a book. Derry: A book stand (her's broke too) A stainless steel thermo cup, A Cadance pony (she struggled and wanted a bouncy dog but picked the pony) Knitted dress, Musical book with cd-player Cami: Book stand, Stainless steel thermo cup, Knitted dress Musical book (with a piano) Furreal newborn rabbit Fynn: Stainless steel thermo cup, Musical book (Pooh bear) Giant connect 4 game. Not sure what else for him? I have the little ponys (with stage and others bits) and a basketball hoop too. I'll work out what to do with them later...not sure yet.

Re: Basically it's Monday
I just ordered our Christmas cards, we don't usually send them out, but today only they are 49c/card and that includes postage. Holla!
So I ordered just a few to see how it goes. I would hate to order them and not mail them http://www.cardstore.com/I have Bella, my grandma and my dad done. I need to figure out what the other kids are getting, they both want an easy bake oven...no way. Bella wants a crayola marker air brush kit....also no way.
