I think u should try crochet. You might like it and can make useful things like longies, headbands, dish rags, soap cozies... And can keep occupied.

Re: Big Mama's December Support Thread

AFM means as for me
I did when I was around 12, and have since forgotten how. Tried learning to knit and had no success at teaching myself. I also want to learn needlepoint, again not good at teaching myself, I am a hands on learner and even youtube isn't any help.

Got in 2 miles, still haven't done the elliptical, ate a huge spinach salad w/ feta and tuna and fresh tomatoes and felt I voided out the 2 slices of pumpkin apple bread I ate earlier Need to get back on fitday to log what I eat and burn, haven't done mfp in a while so gonna look at that though I did best w/ fitactive or fitday, can't remember what it is called right now...

I, um, didn't do paleo yesterday or today. I had a murder mystery dinner for dh's work party last night (freaking awesome), and ate cake and all sorts of things I shouldn't have. Then today, I went to costco... and that never goes well =D

Dinner is Paleo. Tomorrow I will do better =D

Whahoo. I was 209 this morning! It's not official till Tuesday but I lost everything I gained at thanksgiving! Now if I can push it down to 208 I'll be feeling really good about myself.

Re: Big Mama's December Support Thread

Eating junk today. Not feeling guilty about it, either. It's put up the tree day, which means traditional junk to eat and drink, as well. We are having frosty treasures (very similar to puppy chow), pfeffernuse, and our drink options are Christmas tea (not too bad, healthwise) and white grape raspberry juice with Sprite.

Tomorrow, though, I'll eat well and will get on the elliptical or do a video or something. I think I'm going to try taking the dog for at least a short walk every day, as now that I'm not typically hanging the laundry, I find many days I don't go out at all.

Re: Big Mama's December Support Thread

Weekends really don't go well for me! But it's monday, I'm back to work, back to logging, and back to drinking my water. Luckily I don't really gain over the weekend, but then again I don't really loose during the week either so I'm not sure what difference it's all making. I'm feeling very overwhelmed and swamped this week. I was so down and out yesterday that DH felt he needed to call in help. So the ILs came down and helped dh put up trailers and move stuff around, MIL helped me finish up some sewing for DS, and I did a bunch of baking, none of which was Christmas baking. We're leaving Friday so everything that needs to get done has to be done by then. We're having Christmas at home as a Family Wed, night, and with ILs Thursday night, and then with my family on Christmas. Run, run run, and none of it the kind I should be doing.

Hope things slow down for you soon. It is such a crazy time of year.

I am down to 136.9 today. It is a miracle!
