Re: What do you see - tricky ultrasound.
That doesn't even look like a "potty shot" to me... more like a random image with a leg in the upper left corner... I don't see any true shot of the baby's gender here.

Re: What do you see - tricky ultrasound.
If she was exclaiming that it's 3 lines I'd say she was telling you it's a girl without telling you since she couldn't. I mean it looks like 3 lines to me but what do I know?

Re: What do you see - tricky ultrasound.
I think the problem may also be that the image is blurry. In the actual ultrasound, the three lines are VERY clear. Not blurry at all. My main thing at this point, is IS it girly parts? :/ I'm just going back and forth with myself.
"She said it was three lines!" "But what if it's a cord?" "What else could it be, it HAS to be girly parts!" "It looks different than cord lines." "Is that even under the leg? What angle is this?" "It's a diagonal potty shot. It's the vag! GO GIRL!" I'm just SO back and forth, and I feel like I am going to go CRAZY waiting until my anatomy scan. And then what if I am told it's a boy? My GOD I will be dealing with some serious gender disappointment. I love this baby. Moreso now that I am feeling movement. But I have never felt so torn in my life. Do I call it she? Do I keep calling it "it?" Should I really just believe that it's a girl, and go with it, since that's what I was pretty confidently told by two people in the room? :/ I just. don't. know.

Re: What do you see - tricky ultrasound.
Yes. She has taken "classes" but is not certified. She works at a pregnancy resource center where they give free ultrasounds once a month. Because she's not "certified" they will not allow her to say what it is, LEGALLY. But, she did say, "That's three lines. That's all I can say." She saw it twice. The first time, baby moved. She tried to catch it again, and THIS is the image she got before baby ran away again - which is why it's not an excellent image.

Well considering she's not a professional, I wouldn't go buy pink.
But it could very well be a girl... What's the point of these ultrasounds? The purpose?

Re: What do you see - tricky ultrasound.
To find out what we are having (at this one), and just to check on baby. We had a loss in April, so I am a nervous wreck, still... even though I've passed the "safe" mark. It's nice reassurance. They last about 5 minutes, and is just a great way to put me at ease. I don't get my anatomy scan until 22-24 weeks, and I wanted to know what we were having before Christmas, which is why I went yesterday.

Can you pay place who does the 100% gender confirmation guarantee? We have one here that does 2d for $75. Or ask ur OB to refer you at 20 weeks?
As another Mama whos waited for a lil girl Im so sorry you have to wait longer to know for sure. It will be harder to put ur hopes in it to be let down. A good, trained, professional tech wont tell you gender unless its 100% and got that perfect view. The people at the other placea arent trained in the same way, so the most is a "best guess" and if they get the perfect shot, then you get confirmation from others experienced Id go with it, bur otherwise you risk being even more disappointed. Im so sorry Mama. It may very well be a girl. I wouls browse all the images in the ultrasound board at babycenter and see all the girl shots to compare, post it foe turtle Im suee if girl parts are there shell find them. Try not to stress to much. I hope you find comfort and dont have to wait the whole 6 weeks to confirm. ![]() Kristen - Helpmeet to an amazing DH. Mama to seven blessings (and #8 on the way!)
