Astrid is my girl name too

I am shocked with how popular Aria and Elsie are becoming. I love those names and have wanted to use them for YEARS. There is now a little girl named Aria in my circle of friends. I'd never met anyone with that name before.

Re: Fastest Rising baby names

I know 24 kids (friends' kids, nieces, nephews) with names from that list (6 yrs. old and under). LOTS of the "ana" ends to girls names.

My kids' names are not on there, but I love the name Atticus (from To Kill A Mockingbird) and wanted that on my list incase #4 was a boy (but SHE wasn't).

I feel you on the Sara/Sarah thing. Freshmen year of college, out of 100 girls on my floor 10 of them were named Sara/Sarah. My roommate's name was Sara, also without an h, it was super confusing. The girl next door was Sarah.

I'm a little sad to see Elise on the list, I've had that name picked out for DD since I was a little girl (long story as to why it's my middle name instead of my first name). Growing up I didn't know ANYONE with that name.

I wanted Harper when I was pregnant with #4... until the Beckhams named their daughter that. I knew it was going to explode and opted against.

Yes, I have read this as well.

None of my kiddos' names are on there. Yay. My SD is Hannah Nicole, DD1 is Kyndra Renee, DD2 is Carleigh McKenna, DD3 is Lainey Iris, and DD4 is Evanee Graycen. My SD has the more traditional name. I like more unique names so tend to go that way but not too extreme.

Madison isn't on there because it isn't "rising" anymore (it is in the top ten I think still). I know so many Maddison, Madison, Adison, Addisons. But they are all around that 5-8 yo range.

Grrrr....we picked Anelia because it WASN'T popular at the time. Same thing happened with my first daughter Riley. We got in on the front end of it and now there's Riley's everywhere. Being a Jennifer I wanted to avoid that! Lol
