wool washing question

I've got some upcycled wool longies and covers that I have washed in my he front loader in the wool setting before with no problems, but I'm not sure what kind of will soap (if any ) is safe for my washer. Does anybody have any experience with this? I hate hand washing! Can I use woolite?

Re: wool washing question

Don't use Woolite. It has enzymes that will break down the wool. I believe Eucalan and Soak are both okay for washing machines. Any detergent should be fine as long as it doesn't have protein eating enzymes or bleach in it.

ETA: Eucalan and Soak both have machine washing instructions on their web pages.
