Is this an okay weight gain?

When DS started EBF he was around 10lbs 13ish oz on 13th.8 days later on the 21st he was 11.1, which was roughly 1/2oz a day,maybe a tad less on some days. The LC was very happy. DS1 had an appointment today (14ish days later)and the nurse said I could weigh DS2. He was 11lbs 9.5oz.

Does that sound okay for weight gain? He's always gotten breastmilk but it was pumped milk previously. He was 6lbs 9oz at birth and was around 8lbs when he left the hospital at 3 weeks old.

so still about half an ounce a day it sounds good! Keep in mind if he was weighed on different scales that can make a big difference as well! Good job!

thanks! he's hitting all his milestones, has plenty of each type of diapers, is a very happy & alert baby. I know weight gain is just a small part of that larger picture but I still get nervous being so new to this. is it normal for BF babies to gain slower than bottle fed babies (regardles sof whats in the bottle?)

Yes, this is normal because a bottle fed baby tends to eat more due to a lot of factors. Sounds like you have a little champ on your hands!!
