Shipping to Russia - ebay question??

Hi,

I have a potential buyer of a less than 1 lb item. He asked for a shipping quote, so I gave him one for first class international mail (NOT priority). Now, he wants to know when the item would arrive. Any ideas on how to find this out? It is a Christmas item, so I assume that's why he's asking. Any ideas?

Is shipping regular mail, not priority, a bad idea? The cost difference was like 11 something vs. 33 something.

I know someplace on the website the PO has charts with expected shipping times for all over. But this is one of the most crazy times so shipping times get pretty wonky now.

As far as if FC was a bad idea, that depends on if he is honest and will report when the item arrives or just pretend he never got it.

Let's hope he is honest and Orthodox, then you have an extra 2 weeks for him to get his parcel in time.

I ship first class international almost daily. I've never had an issue.

i doubt it would get there in time using regular mail, the cut off date for canada is dec 6th. Maybe if you used one of the faster pricey options it would make it in time.
