I accidentally dyed some diapers...

I just bought two new ME Bedwetter pants and during the second prepping wash, they were accidentally dyed baby blue (from a navy item). I also had a couple new stay-dry inserts in there.

My son who will be wearing them is actually happy that they are blue inside since it's his second favorite color He had previously complained that they were boring white.

However, I'm just worried that when I wash them again, some of the color will come out and get on other items in the wash. Does anyone have experience with this? Should I wash them a few times to see what comes out?

I have NO experience with this. But, if it were me, I would wash them a few times by themselves.

Or...maybe get some dylon dye and dye them all the way - just to make my son happy.

I did this with some lime green wash cloths, it never did come out, now I have diapers with yellowy green inners and some inserts.

I loved them. They are just bulky & my son didn't like that. Zero leaks. Just think really really bulky!

Re: I accidentally dyed some diapers...

My DH dyed some flats pink when he washed then with a new red sheet. They stayed pink for a long long time but never transfered onto other diapers/clothes eventually they turned white again (possble becasuse of bleach use)

I was just prepping them yesterday so we haven't used them yet.

As far as size goes, we got small for my son. He is 5.5 but small - skinny and only about 37 lbs. I tried them on him before washing and they seemed to fit well - very glad that I got the small instead of XS even though small weight range starts at 40 lbs. I did it based on the following info that I received from Motherease when I asked about sizing. Honestly, I don't find them all that bulky, even on a skinny child.

"The bedwetter pants are fully elasiticized all around the waist and leg openings so they fit quite a range within each size. Even if your child is thin he will still need the rise height to fit properly. The pant will be a little more bulky on a thinner child.

We have pasted the product measurements below:

XSmall
Waist: 15 21
Leg: 10 13
Rise: 18.5

Small
Waist: 16 23
Leg: 12 16
Rise: 20" "

HTH!
