Postpartum pad advice/pattern?

Hello helpful veteran mommies!
I was wondering if any of you have advice or instructions/pattern for a postpartum pad. Since switching to cloth I have been BLESSED with very light periods, so all my pads I've made have reflected that.
I feel quite lost as to what to use/how to make something for REAL bleeding! How many layers? Or even layers of what!? I would be very grateful for any advice you guys have!!!

(I currently have: flannel, thick cotton terry, bamboo/cotton fleece, hemp/cotton fleece, bamboo micro fleece, and PUL.)

This is the pattern I'm going to be using
http://taketimetosmelltherose.blogsp...loth-pads.html

My main change will be making the wings more narrow. I'm using ZORB in the middle, wool bottom (I hate fleece mama cloth), with bamboo velour topping. Zorb needs to be sandwiched, so in between the wool and ZORB there will be a layer, possibly bamboo possibly cotton haven't decided yet. As for layers, I think for pp it's supposed to be two layers of zorb.

Re: Postpartum pad advice/pattern?

Here is a postpartum pad pattern that I designed:

http://www.mammacandoit.com/Mama-Pat...d-Pattern.html

It feels SOO good. I designed it before I had my last baby (who was born this week! ) and now that I have used it, I'll never go back.
Good luck!

I wish you sold already made pads like that. I don't want to sew.
