s/o- have you ever gotten a professional massage?

I never have. My sister gave me a gc one year when she worked in a salon/spa, but it made me feel self conscious since I knew the lady but wasnt friends with her either,if that makes sense. I would be up for one now, or even going to a spa, but we dont have the money. Am I inthe minority here? What about other spa treatments like facials, manis, pedus, etc?

I've had one. The practice my MWs are part of used to offer a free pregnancy massage on the same day as the 20 week anatomy scan. DH gives me messages all the time. I love it when he does it. He gets me relaxed. It's soothing. I feel great afterward. The masseuse beat me up though! It was relaxing at some points, but painful at others. I was sore for days afterward. I have no desire to ever get another professional massage.

Only deep tissue for few months from getting rear ended. Very painful at first but it did help a lot. (While the other car's insurance company was bugging me if I was feeling better and I kept saying No.)

I've had professional massages (depending on what your needs are they can range from relaxing to somewhat painful). A swedish massage is relaxing while a deep tissue with a lot of muscle work can be pretty painful. I love massages, I've always gone to women but this last time I saw a guy. He was great but it was awkward, I need to find a good female masseuse because I just am not comfortable with a man.

I've also had manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing... I like to be pampered but honestly I don't go regularly or even frequently. I had a massage in August and I think I had my eyebrows done in May or so. If I had a ton of money I'd go all the time though!

I love getting massages. I buy cheap Groupon deals to salons with good reviews. I always go for deep tissue massages. I try to go a least a couple of times a year. When we go on vacation, I might get one then too.

I get pedicures every to weeks in the summer, monthly in the winter. I don't get my hair done professionally or have other expensive habits, so the pedicures are my one regular splurge.

The thought of getting a massage seems like torture to me. I just don't like being touched by a stranger. Not sure why. The only massage I have ever had was from my mom who was a massage therapist.

ive had my nails done once when i was 19 and thats it other than my hair. no massages or chiro

I have. Sometimes for Christmas or my birthday, DH will get me a gc to the spa. I love it. So so relaxing. I can't wait until little man gets bigger so that I can leave him for a few hours and get another massage!
