My Mood:
Re: S/O How many toys do you think is just enough? How many is too few?

I wanted to come back and update post-Christmas.
We re-arranged since DH built a storage unit for our living room. It looks like an entertainment center under our TV but it holds 3 gallon clear lidded bins. The bins are:
Magnatiles
Duplos
Schleich/Toob Animals
Action Figures
Cars/Trains
Wooden Train Tracks
Wooden/Felt Play Food
Puzzles
Wooden Blocks
2 Cup Glass Container holding Lego Minifigures
Also on the shelf is a Plan Toys Pirate Ship and old school Fisher Price doll house.

Boys Room
Book Shelf (holds 25 at a time)
8 Stuffed animals on their beds
Small corner shelf for 'special' things- rocks, etc

My DD's room:
Dollhouse with drawer underneath for Barbies/clothes
Doll Cradle w/ 3 dolls
Fabric Bin of doll clothes
Fabric Bin of random toys (My Little Pony mostly)
About 20 stuffed animals on her bed
A dozen or so books

In the hall closet I keep a tote of craft supplies and out of rotation puzzles, books and board games.

For three boys ages 5, 4, and 2 we have out right now (after the Christmas deluge of toys):

Play kitchen
wooden cake
wooden cutting vegetables
3 wooden bowls
a few utensils
2 pots
Small tub of Legos
Large tub of Duplos
very small tub of animal figures
Rody Horse
Fort building set
Wooden ramp building set
Magnaforms
very small tub of cars
Tinker Toys
Bilibo
Basket of wooden blocks
Magnadoodle
Plan Toys peg board
Plan Toys peg hammering toy
Remote control robot
Wooden horse hauling truck
Buzzy, Woody, Jesse, Bullseye
Super Why doll
Wooden house/barn (it's really a house but they use it as a barn)
Small wooden tool set
Melissa and Doug Magic trick set
Mr. Potato Head set
12 books

Lots more toys are in 3 big plastic tubs in the garage, but I rotate them now and then and will likely get rid of some at the spring consignment sale. IMO we already have too much out.
