Immature hips

My daughter is now 3 months old. I've wanted to babywear from the beginning but it hasn't worked out. She isn't comfortable and usually ends up screaming within a minute or so. I'm on my third carrier; an Ergo which was my first choice but I delayed getting due to the cost.

She was diagnosed as having immature hips and they didn't feel any treatment was needed. I'm wondering if this could be why she isn't comfortable. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I would try to consult with a pediatric PT. She should be able to give you a lot of insight on positioning and what is good/bad for your DDs specific condition.

Re: Immature hips

I agree to check with your DR, but if you need something that offers hip support, but just not so wide I would check out the Pikkolo or Beco Gemini. At 3 months I wouldn;t have a baby with legs out in the ergo, just too big...
