Rant about target baby clothes

I just need to vent for a second. Target baby clothes run so small!! My baby girl is 4 months, 14 pounds. Kinda tall but not crazy. We have been using mostly gifts from family and then some stuff I got from old navy. She fits the only navy 3-6 months size perfectly.

So other day I am at target and I saw 2 cute pieces, a shirt and a jump suit thing. I check the weight and buy them in the 6 months size. They are so SMALL, one wash (not shrunk) they just cling to her.

The shirt makes her look like she has a Buddha belly, she doesn't. The sleeves are super short too. The whole thing just bunches and clings to her. The pant/jumpsuit thing, the legs are so short. I'm disappointed because they are cute. Thank goodness they were only like $7 each. It's not even like the cloth bum is the issue. They will probably last another pound or so and then be trash. What a waste.

I got all my boys' clothes at target because I was always there. But no more. This little one is a Carter's, old navy, and tea when I can swing it.

Thanks for reading my vent.

I always thought Old Navy runs small so Target must run really small. I always love looking at Targets clothes but I don't think I have ever bought anything there....

My boys are 12 and 9. And in high growth percentiles. They fit fine. My little girl? Nope.

My kids always fit into the same size in Target, Old Navy and Carter's. Actually my average sized 8yo (30% weight and 55% height) wears a 6X at Target.

Re: Rant about target baby clothes

I never buy what size they say to in any brand except gymbo. My 18lb 6 mo old is wearing 12-18 and 18 mo stuff, just a bit roomy, in ON and target. I get my 2 1/2 yr old (36 in 28lb) size 5 and just roll the cuffs up once

My kids are big. My 8 almost 9 year old wears a target large,12/14. He is the tallest kid in his class 100% for height and like 90% for weight. So far my little girl is running the smallest. 90% height. 75% weight.

Oddly enough, I bought my DS a onesie and pants from target (circo brand) and the pants were HUGE! They were newborn sized he can just now wear the pants and he is just now fitting into 0-3 month clothing
