plane travel with car seat(go go kids travelmate)

I fly a lot but never attempted to bring the car seat on the plane. I recently got a gogo kids travelmate since it was on sale figuring I would leave the stroller behind and just attach this to my evenflo titan le. I am wondering if anyone has used this or something similar. Do you have to check the wheel part at the gate or will it store in the overhead above seats? I am looking for info on where I can find the FAA sticker on my brand of carseat as I seem to be overlooking it. Also, I've never installed a carseat on the airline seats before, do I need a locking plate or something? any advice in that area would be helpful as well! Thanks!

You should be able to store the go go kidz in the overhead. The seatbelts on planes don't need locking clips. You just pull until its tight! Much like the old lap belts in cars. I don't know anything about the belt path on your seat but if you can openly access it or lift the cover to access it, you shouldn't need to do anything special.
