My old doctor offered the nurse visit early. Basically, they just have me my prenatal rx and answered questions. If you've been pregnant before and feel decent (or normal for you), I would probably skip it.

My appointment is tomorrow morning at 10am for betas and u/s. I took clomid and my BFP on 8/9 dpo was pretty dark on a frer. So I'm concerned about twins. I took 100mg so my OB said chances of twins are around 20% and my dh's family has more than one set of twins in each generation going back to his great great great grandma. My grand and great grandma also had twins. I hope it isn't twins though. I don't want to be on bed rest. As terrible as that sounds.

Today's test on bottom:

Re: When is everyone's first appointment?

We had our first meeting with our homebirth midwives last night. It was AWESOME! I'm so excited about a home birth.

I had my first appointment with my regular OB this morning. I was really nervous when talking to her about our wish to birth at home and not do any ultrasounds, etc. She was awesome about it! She said she trained under those midwives, too! What a neat coincidence. She was perfectly fine with no u/s and transferring care to the midwives.

Your 8/9 DPO BFP looks very similar to mine at 9 DPO. I'm now beginning to think there may be two in there for me too. I started a whole new thread about it.....I'm not sure if they'll do an u/s next week or not (my OB usually does one at 6 wks, but I'll only be 5 weeks 2 days at my appointment. I may have to wait. I haven't had any Beta checks though, so my bloodwork may indicate something if there are two. The thought of two scares me!

Yea for joining us!

And you aren't terrible. I never really understand why people want twins...they are much higher risk for baby problems and mama problems. Plus, I would rather not have two newborns to feed and care for. Still, if it happens, it happens...I suppose it would be twice the blessings too :-)

Re: When is everyone's first appointment?

I have my ultrasound this afternoon. With both of my other kids, I never went until 12 or 13 weeks, but last time around, I had difficulty finding an OB/MW because everyone seemed to be booked by the time I started looking. I am 8wk today (I think).
