What was your expirence having mirena removed
Hello All,
On 11/28 I had my mirena removed after having it in for 6 months. I didn't have trouble with it and liked it. DH and I decided to start trying for another child sooner then we had planned. So far, I spotted for the first 2 days, then nothing. So, what was your expirence after having your mirena removed? |

Didn't even know she took it out until she (ob) said it was ok, started regular cycle 2 days later and had totally normal pre-Mirena cycles thereafter, conceived #2 3 (4?) months later.

Re: What was your expirence having mirena removed
I loved my Mirena... Removal itself was pretty painless and unremarkable. I had a period about 3-4 weeks later and conceived about 5 months after that. Good luck!

Thanks ladies! I agree removal was so easy I didn't realize it was out until they told me.

Had spotting then had my period at about 5 weeks. I am not TTC yet so nothing to say there. My periods do seem super heavy compared to before :/

Had mine removed I felt a little pressure but no pain at all. Not like what it felt like being placed in, and it was so close to my period it started the next day.

I removed mine myself. I had a couple days of spotting and then a very long cycle (almost 2 months with no AF) followed by a super long, heavy, nasty period.

No pain, no spotting. I hardly felt a thing when my OB pulled it out. Nearly instant relief of mood swings, irritability, zero sex drive, all other sucky things that are apparently "normal" and ensured I will never, ever get an IUD (or any other hormonal BC) again.
We expected at least six months before we got pregnant... Nope, we got pregnant on my very first post partum ovulation, less than six weeks after having Mirena removed. Woot! Good luck! |
