Getting rid of fleas on a pregnant dog

Is there anything other than give her a bath every day that is safe? The medicine I usually put on them I can't while she is pregnant or nursing. I don't want the puppies to get them and I really want them out of my house.

Bath--soap kills fleas.

Make sure you vaccuum everyday and give the dog a bath often. If you want more protection there are certain EOs that fleas hate like tea tree oil.

Is TTO safe to put on her after her bath?

This stuff works Amazingly!!! Look around the Internet for reviews. Just understand how it works.

We dealt with fleas in our house this year and it was no fun AT ALL!!! We spent a lot of money and a lot of time vacuuming (like every day). Make sure you get the yard and around your entrances taken care of also, or they will just keep coming in. We finally got rid of them!

Dawn dish soap, you shouldn't need daily baths with that. I don't know if it's safe during pregnancy but borax works as well, it works the same way diatomacious earth does, but is way easier to find.

I just looked up in the eco-dog book I have you can take dried rosemary and 1 pint of boiling water. Steep for ten minutes starin the rosemary. let get to room temp and poor all over your dog for final rinse.

or do the same thing but instead of rosemary use a whole lemo including peel and let it steep overnight. Put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the dog.

Please tell me what you did to treat your house and rid them for good. We are dealing with fleas on our dog and I am desperate to treat him and the house. Tell me the secret!

Re: Getting rid of fleas on a pregnant dog

Well I went and got TTO and put a drop on the back of her neck and behind each ear and I have borax so I sprinkled it under the couches and beds. Hopefully that will work help. I've been washing her with dawn thats what the lady at the vets in petsmarttold me to use when she said I couldn't use the medicine.

you could even put any of the essential oils on her collar if you did not want to put them directly on her
