Boys coat...

I need to buy my middle ds a coat. Does anyone know of anywhere having any good sales? I do not want those puffy marshmallow kind of coats. They seem so uncomfortable plus I don't like how they look! But that seems to be all I can find that's not $80.

Re: Boys coat...

I buy these http://www.landsend.com/pp/boys-squa...1603_1189.html. They are on sale right now.

My kids have been wearing them for years now, and they hold up so well! DS#1 gets two years out of one, then DS#2 gets two years out of one. DD could get her two years out of theirs as well, but she wants "girl" colors, so I sell or pass on when we are done. DS#1 is VERY hard on his clothes, and these hold up (unlike previous coats), and DS#2 hates stuff to be too bulky (like his mama) but he tolerates these pretty well.

Re: Boys coat...

I think I might be looking for something a little more "dressy"? But that is a cute coat! I was reading the reviews and lots of people complained about the sleeves being too tight. Do you have this problem? My son isn't husky but he isnt skinny either. So I worry about that being a problem.

Re: Boys coat...

I buy from Gap when they have a sale/coupon code.

Right now they have a hooded toggle coat on sale for $59.99 (orig. $70) and there is a 20% off code GAPGIFT which makes it $47.99

Also, there is a nice wool peacoat for $68 (reg. price) use the coupon code and its $54.40 and there is free shipping for $50+ order.

Re: Boys coat...

I only get columbia coats for my boys. WHy b/c I can get the cheap at garage sales b/c their zippers are busted and than send them in to have the replaced. Sometimes they call and tell me to pick out a new on from their website b/c they can't fix it. right now I have one in a size 8, the other in a size 10/12 (which I have 2 of b/c he is growing like a weed).
