Sweater butts

I am in the process of making butt sweaters. I can't afford Woolie covers and really want some so I have been hitting up thrift stores for 100% wool sweaters (got one today for 4.99) Wash and felt it, cut off arm cuffs, cut large triangle from the sweater (bottom of tri is sweater wasitband) fold point of tri to the wasitband, sew along edges leaving gap at bottoms for leg holes, sew sleeve cuffs to the leg holes and BAM a sweater butt soaker... I havent sewn mine yet I don't own a sewing machine and my dryer is out a propane (expensive!) so I can't felt it yet.. BUT I am deteremined to have some wool soakers even though I am broke...soooo next weekend I am hanging out at thrift stores and laundry mats to felt some sweaters!
