Willful and refuses to poop on toilet, but knows how

I'm looking for any suggestions. I have a girl who will be 3 in April and has been potty training for about 7+ months now. We are finally making some progress with peeing, but she won't tell us if she has to go, and she only pees if we tell her to go and there is always a fuss.

Four weeks ago she went poop on the toilet on her own initiative two days in a row. After that, then she decided she wasn't going to use the potty anymore. She poops in her pants consistently either every morning or during her nap (when she is alone in her room). She doesn't seem to care if she is wet or dirty, and she knows she is not supposed to. I am so frustrated!

I am open to any suggestions. We have tried rewards and consequences, but the only thing that worked for a short time was letting her watch a TV episode whenever she went potty. If she wanted to watch Dora, she was suddenly able to go pee, go figure. But now rewards are wearing off and I don't know what else to do! Help please!

No suggestions, but I'm right there with you. DD is turning 3 in March and poops alone in her room during nap or before she gets up in the morning. For this reason she wears diapers to bed. She's awesome at daytime PTing though. I don't remember the last time she had an accident. And my DD is SUPER sensitive about poop. She doesn't even want to talk about it. If I go in her room during a poop she gives me the hand and yells, "Go Mommy! You need to leave I'm pooping!" We even have a jar of lollipops on the counter next to the toilet so she can see the reward for pooping and it does nothing to tempt her.

Hmmm, what about some Dora underwear? You could tell her Dora likes to be clean and dry.

Other than that, just be matter of fact about it. Don't give her a big emotional response around the potty as she may be using it to control you or assert her control.

This is true, I try hard to be matter-of-fact with her and not show my frustration but kids are smart and can read into this. She knows that "mommy is sad" when she goes poop in her pants even if I try not to show.
