Having a "poor me' moment . . .

Just a minor pity party before I pull up my big girl panties and go deal with it. DD was sluggish and whiny this morning, but nothing concrete enough to make me keep her home from school, so we got ready and piled in the car. We pulled into the drop off lane and she started getting her coat and backpack on when she bent forward and threw up. E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E.

She threw up 3 times. All over the back of the van. My van is covered.

So obviously she got right back in her seat and we drove straight home. Now she's tucked in bed with books, water, and a puke bowl. I'm nursing the baby and then I get to go out and clean my van. Have I mentioned that vomit makes ME want to throw up? That's why when DH is home he handles the puke.

*whine whine whine*

Ok, there. I think it's out of my system now. It would be easier if I could pull into the garage, but DH has been building new bookcases for the kids' rooms and there are saws and wood all over the garage. So I'll have to clean it outside and it's 20 degrees. Ok, NOW I'm done.

Oh my gosh, that's a pretty miserable situation to be in. Good luck getting it cleaned up. Maybe it's time for an interior detail at the car wash?

So thankful for removable foot mats in the back of the van - means I can toss it in the wash and only have to wipe down the seats and the floor around the mat. Unfortunately I need to spray the mat with the hose first to get solid stuff off, but the hose is frozen!

Do you have a spray bottle?

Yes, but not one strong enough to knock stuff off the mat.

I ended up using paper towels to scrape off the mat and now it's in the wash. My hands and feet are slowly thawing back out and I told DH that when he gets home, I'm going out to get a nice bottle of wine and taking a glass of it into a hot bath tonight! (He's glad he's at work today!)

My son did that once. Projectile. And in my face. He had to ride home naked, covered in my shirt as I drive home in a very revealing tank. The vomit literally pooled in his radian.
