Recent Knits, re: Magical sweater, Gingerbread Hat

I finished both of these last night!

I made a Magical sweater for I made for dd. I made it too big on purpose so it would fit her for longer. It ended up bigger than I intended, though. It's Mosaic Moon Rose-Pink semi solid on superwash dk.

I also made a Gingerbread Hat for Caleb, but my 2-year old has claimed it as his own

I'm in love with both projects!!!

Me too! I was trying to show how the colors in the yarn striped. Both those kids ALWAYS blink when I take their picture, even when they're looking away, so they are extremely hard to photograph.

That's why I ended up doing short sleeves, I figured it would fit her better for longer than having to deal with rolling up the long sleeves (or picking out the bind-off and adding length.) Not only that, but I only have a couple of yards of yarn left in that skein (I love that it was a 1-skein project!). I do have another skein, but now I can do something else fun with it.

Stick with it and you will! I have been knitting for a year and a half (although with 7 kids, that's not as much as it sounds!). My DH thinks I'm crazy for spending so much time with it, but I enjoy it.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Look how big Matt and Danae are getting! ALL my kids blink whenever I take their pic too.

Can you link the pattern for that sweater please? So many people recently have been talking about it. It is really neat....

The pattern is Magical by Elena Nodel. She just did a mystery knit-a-long on Ravelry, that's why everyone's talking about it!

Lyn- Guess what Matt calls himself? I put some snaps on a couple of his blankets so he can use them as capes. So he'll put his cape on and walk around the house singing "na na na na MattMan!" (the Batman theme song! So cute!)
