My third was 10lbs, 14oz. She got stuck on the way out, was very traumatic. I tore pretty badly. Baby had brachial plexus and had to have physical therapy for a year and Occupational therapy for three months. If I had to do over I would have chose a c-section.

All of babies were just under 9 lbs, and DS4 was the biggest at 9 lbs 7 oz (born at 39+3). All were born vaginally, with no complications related to their size. Labors were 17 hrs (with 65 mins of pushing), 10 hrs (with 6 mins of pushing), 16 hrs (maybe 5? mins of pushing), and 5 hrs (literally 1-2 mins of pushing). No tears, except with DS1 due to his broad shoulders.

I know mom's size doesn't mean much, but I'm one the small side (5'5, 100-105 lbs, with a very narrow frame), and my midwives are always shocked by how easily I birth my babies.

Re: Babies over 9lbs- can you share the birth weights of your children?

My 4:

DD1: 10# 3oz, 42 wks, 2 days, C/S
DS1: 10# 6oz, 39 wks, C/S
DD2: 9# 4oz, 39 wks, 2 days, C/S
DD3: 9# 4oz, 39 wks, 1 day, C/S

I didn't have GD or any complications. I never labored at all even after 42 weeks with my first, and I foolishly went along with the RCS each time after

We are going for a VBA4C with our DS2 due in February.

#1 - DD, 7 lb 3 oz, vaginal, 2nd degree tear
#2 - DS, 8 lb 12 oz, vaginal, no tear
#3 - DS, 1 lb 13 oz, c-section
#4 - DS, 9 lb 6 oz, vaginal, no tear

I'm 5'0" and about 110 when not pregnant. No GD with any of the pregnancies.
