So I will cloth diapering 2, a NB and almost 2 yr old. Here is my stash.
NB
36 washcloths to be used a NB diapers. After the NB stage as doublers, inserts, or wipes.
5 NB fitteds
4 NB covers

OS shared stash
15 flour sack flats
12 large flats
12 small prefolds
12 med prefolds
10 OS covers
15 mix of pockets/AIO/AI2
30 wipes
2 snappis
I am debating if I should add 6 kissaluvs contours to the mix. What do you think?
All of this for just over $400!!
I need a coupon code for diaper junction, nickis, and diaper safari though.
Anything I am missing and need to add?

Looks good. I would personally get a few more newborn covers, that newborn poo is so runny it gets on the covers a lot.

What were your favorite NB covers? How many would you get?

I don't know how to use washcloths as diapers but if the aren't snappied on you map need alot more covers....

My favs were thirsties duo size 1 or the xs thirsites. I would have 6-8 for that stash, if you are snappying the wash cloths on, definitely more if you are just laying them in the cover. Another thing was the snappies, are you getting the newborn and toddler snappies?

Size 1 snappis we have a size 2 already

My last nb peed like crazy. A washcloth wouldn't have been enough. I would recommend adding one or two dozen preemie prefolds just in case.

We have a bunch of NB sposies. I'm not really sure I want to CD a NB. I figure the washcloth are cheap so if they don't work I won't be out much

I believe the wash clothes work great for the first little while, when they are really small. They sort of take the place of the preemie prefolds. You could use your flats once the wash cloths aren't absorbant enough, or are out grown.
