Where can I find these items"?

I was looking into making some homeade laundry detergent but I can't find these 2 items:
washing soda
Fels-Naptha bar soap

Any help would be much appreciated! Also, I am assuming these would be in the laundry aisle? That's where I have been looking but not seeing them but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

I always find them in the laundry area. Usually they are next to stain removers. Instead of the Fels-Naptha, you could also use Kirk’s Hardwater Castile or Zote. I've never used the Kirk's one but I know some people do. But I love zote. It smells wonderful.

All of the walmarts here have washing soda and Fels-Naptha. Usually the washing soda is next to the borax.

I really like Kirk's Castile. I found it in the soap aisle at my Kroger.

too funny the one place I have not checked (wal-mart) is apparently the place that has it! I am going there tomorrow anyway so I will look. I hope they do! I am excited to give it a try. I think I'll have the girls grate the soap for me though-I hate grating!

Re: Where can I find these items"?

Only the larger Wal-Mart in our area has the Fels-Naptha. Even the smaller Wal-Mart here has the A&H washing soda, though. Also, I believe Cracker Barrel (of all the random places, LOL) carries Kirks. Ace hardware used to carry both fels-naptha and A&H washing soda, but I haven't checked in a couple of years, so they might not.

I use my food processor to grate the soap because I can't stand hand grating. I just powder it fine with the blade.
