When I helped in kindergarten they started singing the song a little different. Instead of LMNOP, they sung, L, M, N, and then O, P, Q. It's hard to describe. Same tune just stop at N and go up with O like you usually do with Q.

Haha! DS would do that with the number 7. He would repeat/say along every number but just let me say 7 and he'd join in again at 8.

I make my Kindergarten students put up a finger for each of the letters as they say L M N O P. It helps them remember it's five letters v. ellemenopee lol

My three yr old knows it pretty well but when she gets to the qrs it's sounds like she's saying kick your a**. I asked her to sing it slowly and she says it correctly. It's just when she sings it at her normal speed.
