Raising a Thankful Child

We try to make sure our kids have a sense of gratitude, but honestly it can be a challenge. I enjoyed this brief article from Zero to Three, a really excellent website that focuses on developmental topics for kids up to 36 months old.

Re: Raising a Thankful Child

Great article. This is something we really strive for but is hard especially during the holidays. We only get them a few gifts for Christmas and Birthdays and we try to make them quality ones. I don't even know how you get a young child to stay interested long enough to open 20 presents.

Re: Raising a Thankful Child

We have for a long time asked the kids to say what they are thankful for at breakfast each morning. It starts the day off with a feeling of gratitude (and being an everyday thing makes for some interesting answers )
