Go to the er for your peace of mind. Trust me they see much less serious things. I was an emt for years befor I became a sahm and no joke I had people call the ambulance for small cuts on fingers that didn't even need stitches!

Re: Worms?!?!

A pic popped up of a round worm and I quickly closed out, but it looks like what you describe. I'm afraid to google image it.

But I am 99% sure you just cured me of my life long battle with nail biting/chewing.

I'd guess a roundworm too. Do you have pets? Or even just playing outside.

I would be freaking out! I've never dealt with that.
I'm genuinely curious, could getting worms be a regional thing? I've read, on this forum, of other mom's whose children had worms but I've never even thought that could happen. Nobody I know has ever had worms. How do you get them?
Or maybe people just don't openly talk about it where I live, lol!

I hope you can figure out exactly what it is and how to treat it!

Did your son act uncomfortable in any way?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a roundworm. I've been Googling nonstop. Looks like a fairly easy treatment with meds. I'm wondering how long he's had it. At his 18 month check he was slightly anemic (4 months ago), and that's a symptom of worms.

I've always heard of worms being a tropical thing. We're in the Northwest. We're far from tropical! LOL!
