I make it like the op. Thin layer of jelly, wipe the excess on the 2nd piece of bread, then peanut butter.

Peanut butter first with a knife, and a spoon for the jelly, because by the time I get to the jelly, I'm too hungry to try to dig the jelly out with a knife.

Knife and spoon. I use back of the spoon for the jam. PB first but then I have my usual ADD moment where I can't decide if I want a blueberry, strawberry or other spread. Sometimes I'll just use marmalade.

My Mood:
I put PB first, one knife. I put bread down open...side by side. I take knife and put nice thick layer of only Skippy PB. Scrape excess on side of jar, inside part. Then get preserves only out on same knife and put on other piece of bread. Then "Marry" the two pieces to one great sandwich.

Alisha sent using my Samsung Galaxy II that thinks it is smarter then me.

We do PB first, one knife.

But I HATE jelly. Its all nutella to me. I also like butter on there too.

I mix mine together =) I use a knife to get out the PB and then a spoon to get out the jelly put in a bowl mix it then spread it with the knife.
