Cord burning instead of cutting?
Hi mama's, I recently heard/learned about cord burning. It is supposed to have a faster healing time and lessen the possibility of infection. I was wondering if any of you have done this and how it went/healed and if you think there is a significant difference vs. Cutting? Thanks

Re: Cord burning instead of cutting?
I don't think DD's was even delayed (I wanted it, but ended up with an emergency csection) and it was gone before a week was out.
I would be interested in hearing more about the burning though if anyone has done it.

Re: Cord burning instead of cutting?
My DDs was delayed and it seemed to take a little bit to completely heal and fall off. I think it was over a week and the last couple days it had a little stringy piece still connected. Once that fell off I had to really keep her belly button clean. It was almost like it was still seeping a little
