Empty package arrived - no contents

If you had dc there should have been a notation that the packaged was damaged or a sticker/receipt for damaged goods from the post office. For the value of what you said was in it, I would be very thorough in investigating before you refund. There seems to be a trend right now of saying that the package was damaged or things missing but they really weren't. Now I'm not saying that's what happened here but it's a very believable scam some people are putting on lately.

Paypal puts responsibility of insurance on the seller. When you use paypal, you have to abide by their rules. You should always insurance anything you can afford to refund the value of. Sorry about the loss of the diapers and it sounds like this is going to be a rather expensive lesson. You need to refund the full amount. Paypal will side with the buyer if she chooses to file.

There are all kinds of helpful stickies on the top of this forum about shipping and packing. It sounds like this is going to be very expensive but at least you will know for next time. Also you should look into flat rate boxes, they can be more expensive but if you are mailing heavy things like fitteds, I have found they usually are not anymore expensive.You don't have to purchase a separate shipping package and DC is free or .19 if you ship with Paypal.

you can also try calling all the "locations" from the DC and having (begging) an employee to go look for your contents....they have to go somewhere right?

Oh I forgot about this. That is a good idea ,I did this once and they were able to find it. The faster the better, I was told that they only keep loose items for a little while and then they get logged in a huge warehouse somewhere. My understanding was once it got transferred it was almost impossible to locate. But at the local PO there can't believe that many loose diapers laying around.

Doesn't DC track the weight at every location? If so they should be able to see where it was opened.

The paper is basically the same thing. It's meant to wrap boxes not be made into a wrapper.
