Your DDs are super cute! I like the look of that Diaper Safari cover. No experience w/Flips, but I really like diapers that offer a trimmer fit through the crotch.

I use these covers with GMD flats padfolded for my nearly 3 year old night time option. Works awesome! He is "normal sized" and i am not using them on the highest rise setting, so I am guessing they will work great for you.

Re: diaper safari cover and trifold insert action shots

wanted to say I tested this last night I placed a fab doubler inside the trifolded bamboo insert and all inside the diaper safari cover. The fit was a lit nicer than my ussual nigh pocket because of the streatchier material. She wore it all night including soem both bedtime and early morning nursing though not as much as she often does... Eaither way zero morning leaks and I'd say the inserts could hav eeasily held more.

Deanna -- how important are those flaps for tucking in the insert? I keep thinking that they are not entirely necessary, and may even make the cover easier to soil in the case of a #2...do they really help?

When I've trifolded, it's only been with fleece (recently with a PUL wrap that I am giving as a gift so I didn't really test it out for extended periods of time, plus my DS has daytime PLed); I had no issues w/PF or insert staying put.

I like them for set up as they jsut keep everything in place but I dont necessarly think they are the of upmost important. As for soiled diapers yes in a VERY big poopy diaper the flaps can take a hot however for me it makes little difference I ALWAYS get a new cover after a poo diaper cause the cover jsut smells too much after one so unless one HAD to use the cover agai nno matter what the poo getting on the inner flaps isn't an issue too me.

My big like of them though is the bamboo is nicely assorbent more so that my joey bunz insert (though that is trimmer) and its a nice break from stuffing.. I still LOVE my pockets as well but its been nice to have the break and still get the benifits.
