Thoughts on Ecover?

We've been CDing for years now, but I've never wanted to use fabric softener because I was scared it would ruin the dipes. Is Ecover really safe for cloth dipes? And covers/wet bags??

We have a FLer and use All f&c. I've been wondering if we have hard water because all our clothes and the dipes (like prefolds) get so pilly and worn out. It kills me!! Thinking of adding Ecover to our wash routine, that's why I'm asking. Please let me know if you like the Ecover for dipes as well as regular clothes and sheets/towels. TIA!!

I am not a fan of ecover mostly because of the perfumey scent. I like vaska instead. Works better and smells like lavender. I've used it on our diapers for almost 2 years with no issues. We have prefolds, fitteds, aio's, and pockets with mf inserts.

I have been putting a capful in every wash for 2+ years with no issues. Love it!

I've tried it twice - once when DD2 was a newborn and once again later when she was a toddler. Both times she got a HUGE rash.

But it did work to soften things up - but I had to rewash. I'm the only mama that I have heard that had a LO break out - but that was us.

I like I but get buildup if I use it too frequently. We have super soft water though.

Us too! I loved how nice everything came out but my son got a rash bad with it.
