So today I was at the city pool, discrety bfing when told it would be harmful for the small childern at the pool if they saw so i needed to put a towel over the baby.
Mind you there are string bikinis at this pool, and my baby has a 16" head...and is 6 months old... i'm endowed but not that endowed LOL.
Also he hates a blanket and it was 95 degrees. So he starts kicking, yanking (not just the blanket) and growling. So that was the end of discret. So I put an end briefly to the nurse to nap session. He was fighting the sleep pretty bad anyway.
And I wasn't going to inform the manager of my rights but then she had to come back and say something about him being grouchy. So i did inform her of ks law which does even now allow me to show my nipples while feeding if I wanted to

and could figure out how to do that with his BIG MOUTH eating there

AAAAAAAH sometimes people frustrate me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean it was the pool. I think he covered more than when my suit top is all the way up. p.s. I just pulled down one cup a little to let him get where he wanted kwim?

Typical of our society, isn't it? Nobody would say a word about somebody all but FALLING out of their itsy, bitsy, teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini...but somehow nursing a baby is inappropriate. Grrrr.

WTG for meeting his needs, momma!

Hopefully the manager will be more accepting for the next momma who NIPs there.

OMG hunny I would have gotten so ticked

it really gets to me that nursing is offensive but teenage girls dressing like strippers & britney spears is not

I soo agree!!! Breastfeeding was so hard for me to learn and I will do it if I please!!!! WTG mama!!!

I agree with what's been said! Your baby has the RIGHT to eat where and when he needs to. It is legal in EVERY state in the US to bf anywhere that you have the legal right to be. End of story.
