Re: Birth Plans

I didn't even make a birthplan with DS but we had a planned homebirth. We discussed extensively what we wanted with our midwife throughout our prenatal visits. I will be writing a birth plan this time since we are planning on having my stepmom help out with DS. She isn't very keen on homebirth and I am having second thoughts. She is set to meet our midwife at our next visit in January. I will assess things after this. I don't think she is going to do well her with us. I am probably going to have her on call for the birth just in case. She is too anxious and doesn't 'hang out' well she always has to be on the go and I am a total dominate during labor and everything is my way or else. I can she her trying to challenge me on something stupid like taking DS to her house ect...

Re: Birth Plans

I have the same problem with my mother. She is very anti-homebirth, that is why there are notes about when to call her and when not to call her. With toddler twins I had to be very detailed for who ever watches them but also my husband tends to do the "honey, where is the ----?" I tell him where it is. "I can't find it!". This drives me bonkers because I always find it in the exact place I told him it was so I was very detailed about where everything is located so I can tell him to check the birthplan and leave me alone!

I didn't do a birth plan for my homebirth and I won't this time either. If we have to transfer then it must be super serious and I'm good with whatever get me and my baby home alive and well. Otherwise we are just hanging out, doing some pushing, taking some pics and havin a bebe.
