Pics on a nb AND 3 1/2 yo :-) RAVE! The Fancy Pansy OS diaper cover

Let me start by saying that I have a small wet bag from The Fancy Pansy that is PERFECT! Seriously, it's sewn beautifully and I love to use it in public. So when I began thinking about the starter stash I wanted to gift my friend who MAY consider cloth diapers for baby #2, I was tempted by Krista's sale on The Fancy Pansy OS diaper covers

I received the cover a few days ago, and today I decided to try it on my son over a fitted, just cause I really wanted to see how the new cover would fit. He is 43 months old, 37/38 lbs, and daytime PLed So...he wasn't very excited to wear a diaper but he let me put them on anyway. I haven't used PUL covers in years b/c my son is sensitive, but many babies do fine in PUL

Firstly, the construction is pretty much perfect, just like my small wetbag. ALL the snaps are reinforced, which will be nice since I'm giving it to a CD noob The PUL feels thick and sturdy, and all the snaps work well. I was especially impressed by the plush, thick FOE. The last FOE diaper cover I had was a Gen-Y size Medium. The FOE was a lot thinner and not as soft; it left marks on my son. I didn't leave this cover on him very long, but I do think the FOE is a lot more gentle against skin. And I thought the FIT was amazing! Less amazing are the blurry photos, he wouldn't sit completely still Check it out:

I can't wait to see this cover on a newbie in the spring, hopefully I can add some comparison shots! The rise snaps down really small (the cover has 4 rise settings instead of the more common 3 rise settings) and BOTH wings have crossover snaps, so I'm expecting to be just as pleased

ETA --> totally forgot to link her Etsy shop!!! http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheFancyPan...af_you_favshop

UPDATE more pics -- > I put a trifolded Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds into the cover with the back fanned out, snapped the rise down a setting, and let DS run around. Nothing really shifted

Wow! That looks great, looks like it would be a true one size diaper cover!

Nice! I hear FOE can be a pain to get right, but this looks perfect.

I wholeheartedly agree, I can't believe that I haven't read more praise for TFP covers!

Definitely lovely work I hope others will be inspired to try one of these (if they want an OS PUL cover) and post their own reviews as well!

Can you post a pic of what the inside looks like pls? Does it have tabs/flaps to hold a prefold?
Thanks!

It does not have tabs or flaps, just the other side of the PUL with a layer of reinforcing fabric at the snaps (so in the front panel for the rise snaps and front snaps, and at the wings).

I didn't try it w/a trifolded PF, I put it over a Large Little Boppers fitted (which are low rise on my DS)

ETA --> I wish my DS would let me try it w/a trifold I think the lack of flaps wouldn't interfere too much with the fit/shifting as long as the cover was snug enough (and this cover seems very adjustable so getting a snug fit would be possible) but I have never used any of the covers w/flaps so I don't know what I'm missing! When I trifold, it's always been in a fleece cover that had a trim fit and the PF or insert stayed in place.
