Skirted leggings/skeggings suggestions?

DD turned 2 in September and she's already insisting on particular outfits when she gets dressed in the morning. Argggg, they all grow up so soon! Next, we'll be battling makeup at 3 years old. She wants skirts, but we've found skirts layered over leggings are a bit tough for a newly potty trained toddler. Perhaps skirted leggings would do the trick. I ordered this from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0098HRRBG/ref=nosim/chrisficti-20
Any other skirted leggings/skeggings recommendations? DD fits 18-24 months stuff. 2T is still a bit loose in most brands.

Can you sew at all? If so, you could probably sew the waistbands together of the skirt and leggings. It'll somewhat depend, probably, on how thick they are.

On a somewhat related note, I remember wearing skirts with short leggings attached. They were very cool at the time. Similar to what you're talking, except the leggings stopped right above the knee.

Haha haha! SEW....haha! I thought about that, only briefly. I'm self taught with sewing and learn from my mistakes. Lots of mistakes. A lesson learned from one of many mistakes is that stretch knit fabric needs a different needle. Sigh. By the time I get something sewn, it will be warm enough for the skorts that DD had been wearing over leggings.

It's really odd. No skeggings in DD's size. Only 4/5 and up. I may have to go into the store, which I hate. There's no Walmart nearby. Weird huh? I used to live in Oceanside where there were 3 Walmarts within a 10 mile radius.

Nothing in-store at Target either. Perhaps they got sold out for Christmas.

How about dresses over leggings? That's much easier for my DD to handle.

DD's still figuring dresses out. She's gotten all her dresses wet because she forgets to hike them up enough. We stopped wearing tunics because of this too. I save them for the days she spends at home and weekends. At daycare, she needs something that's easy for her to manage.
