An Ethics Question About Unavailable Patterns
I really really really want to knit a Belle Romper for my daughter. However, the pattern is no longer available and the author hasn't responded to my email. Based on a conversation I had with another member here, I seriously doubt it will become available again soon.
I tried to modify the Elizabeth Tunic, but I am just not confident enough in my knitting abilities and I ended up frogging it. Would it be wrong to post an ISO and try to buy it from someone else? I would have no problem paying the author too if she writes me back or the pattern becomes available. Thanks! |

Re: An Ethics Question About Unavailable Patterns
I don't think so. As long as the person you're buying it from deletes the pattern from their computer (assuming its a digital pattern). It would be just like buying a regular paper pattern and people sell patterns all the time.
