When does everyone else count the items they are purging?

I count donate items as I put them in the bin, but I don't count consignment items until they're out of the house. Not sure why, but that's my system.

Went through the "baby" toy box (the toys that live in the living room that have baby and toddler toys) as well as found a couple other things for a total of 39 items today.

Re: 2,013 Items in 2013!

I've sold around 20 things on ebay (still need full count) and I'm listing hopefully another 15 today. Also threw out around 30 pairs of dd's underwear, apparently I need to check her drawer more often, I found a bunch of size 4s in there and she's in 6 now... I thought I got all those.

Also went through dd's socks and tights and got rid of probably around 50 things there too.. it was a decent size bag when done. Didn't really count though.

Re: 2,013 Items in 2013!

Just wanted to say great job everyone!! Whether you tossed/donated/regifted/sold 1 item or 400, keep up the good work! We are only 1 week into the year, and 51 more to go!

My goal is to have nearly 400 by the end of January because My family and I will be on holiday for 3 weeks in February

Keep the momentum going!

Re: 2,013 Items in 2013!

I'm up to 81/2013. 11 of those items are books dh actually sold. I am so proud of him! It's really hard for him to part with books. We still have another 1,500 in the basement. My goal is to get it down to one or two boxes instead of 50 by the end of the year.
Well be home all day so I'm hoping my numbers increase dramatically. I plan to go through the kids' books. It's best to do this when dh isn't home. I also want to tackle one of the kitchen cabinets and list the dishes n Craigslist. Have a great day, ladies.

Up to 70 items today and still cleaning! Have to go back to my previous post when I get a chance but didn't want to lose count.

Also sold a game boy with 15 games on eBay yay!

I'm up to 604/2013! Working on the kitchen today and hoping that a few sales I have in the works will come through so I can clear some more out.

Re: 2,013 Items in 2013!

I counted my niece as 1 when she moved out last year, haha. I figured her and all her stuff was definitely helping me declutter.
