18 more items gone. Threw out some old cleaning supplies, old vacuum, some more clothes, and random baby items that we'll never use.

New total is: 406!

Yes the storage building is another story entirely. I purged it last summer but my husband had one to so I made him purge it a few months ago and we condensed to one. So now you can't get in the door again :/.

And I'm an artist and made a huge cardboard sculpture a couple of years ago...I'm just now getting over my cardboard hoarding...so I'm about to burn a ton of boxes

Going slow during the week. DH put his old bike out back by the alley and someone took it, so I'm counting it as one. Sold some diapers today so should ship them out tomorrow

Everyone is doing so well! Don't be discouraged if you have a day (or week, or month) where you don't purge anything, or don't get as much as you'd like.

Remember: You only need to purge 5-6 items per day to reach this goal.

By the end of today, you are on track if you've purged about 50 items. Anything more means you're already ahead. Anything less can easily be made up in one good purging session.

Don't lose sight of your goals; you have the entire year to do this. You don't need to finish in a month or two. It took a long time for the clutter to take over, so don't expect it to go away overnight.

I'm oficially joining in. I was so successful with this challenge last year. I don't count things I throw away (unless its something really big). My husband encouraged me to do it again this year- I documented everything we donated, which really helps with tax info! I took my first load to salvation army earlier today, I'll update later with numbers!
