Question about test lines and levels
Ok, dd got a very faint positive on a test Christmas morning. She then bought 3 First Response tests to do every other day to make sure levels were rising. They got slightly darker each of the first two times, but today's test was a little lighter than the one from two days ago.
Is there anything that could cause this other than dropping HCG? Could it be less concentrated in her urine? It was only after about 5 hours and she had had a lot of water before bed. Would those things have any effect?

Re: Question about test lines and levels
yes, some tests, even the same brand, may not be as sensitive as the others. so dont worry. FRED are notorius lately for issues so I would put alot of faith in them

Re: Question about test lines and levels
I wouldn't stress too much. So many things can alter the darkness of the line at this early stage - how dilute the pee is, how much dye is in that particular test, etc etc.

Re: Question about test lines and levels
What the op's said is true. And I hope that's what it is for her.
Personally, I try really hard to stop taking tests/comparing lines after I get a +. Like I only buy a pack of one! For myself, from my own experiences, I know once that line lightens I'm all ready starting to miscarry, unfortunately.

She retested this morning and got a darker line.
