Wednesday 1.2.13: Purge 5 items from your desk/office/mail space. If you don't have a desk/office/mail space, then purge 5 items from your junk drawer.

Ugh..do I have too?!?

Ok so I don't have a junk drawer. I am going purge some stuff from my messy kitch drawers next commercial.....

Alright I'm back. I cleaned off the kitchen table. I tossed 2 cookie cutters and a plastic bag that were in my kitchen drawer. I threw away 3 Christmas bags and some other random junk that was on the table. Oh and I tossed a few bills that I had paid..yay!

Purged a bag of decorations as I packed the tree the day after Christmas

Purged 41 items from the bathroom...mostly old meds and mostly empty things I was keeping for who knows why.

I'll get up and work on mail junk now. Ugh....HATE papers! They take over my house though....need to figure it out aynway.

For some crazy reason DH insists on keeping every single bill that comes to us. We have gas and electric bills from yrs ago! He says he wants to put them on a graph or something someday but he hasn't done it yet!

Ours online shows graphs of usesage. I haven't had a paper bill in years. Check and see of maybe your utility companies do that online.

Re: Mini Minimalist Challenge: 12/31-1/4

Jumping in late.

Monday 12.31.12
I took down decor on the 26th. I did get rid of a dozen ornaments, two strings of lights and a few decorations.

Tuesday 1.1.13: Purge 5 items from your bathroom drawers/cabinets.
*I'm going to do this later today.*

Wednesday 1.2.13: Purge 5 items from your desk/office/mail space. If you don't have a desk/office/mail space, then purge 5 items from your junk drawer.
*I'll work on this tomorrow.*

Thursday 1.3.13
Went through and bagged up more than five items that we won't eat to give to my mom, who will eat the food. Threw a few things away.

Friday 1.4.13
Don't have one. I did donate a bottle of detergent that we won't use. Used up two samples. Combined two bottles of vinegar into one, so I did get rid of one empty bottle.

Ours don't even have online pay options. They are teeny little country companies.

I have been playing along a little this week. I only have completed Monday and Tuesday's tasks, but could certainly use purging in the other areas as well!
I am also keeping track of items I purge in an attempt to reach 2,013 items for this year

Monday 12.31.12: Purge 5 holiday items.
- I am so excited that I was able to finish this project today (Thursday) while a friend was watching my kiddos. I threw away a big bag of trash such as paper scraps and non-working lights. I also found items to donate. I put all of my Christmas items, including wrapping paper and bags, into storage bins.
I would have liked to use less bins, but I had a hard time getting rid of Christmas things. We also inherited some Christmas decorations from DH's grandmother who LOVED Christmas, and passed away on Christmas day in 2006. I will definitely hold onto those items forever
*30 purged items (no, I am not counting all the paper scraps!)

Tuesday 1.1.13: Purge 5 items from your bathroom drawers/cabinets.
- I purged various half used and unused lotions that I will never use. I also purged several hotel shampoo bottles from my travel toiletry bag.
* 25 purged items

Wednesday 1.2.13: Purge 5 items from your desk/office/mail space.

Thursday 1.3.13: Purge 5 items from your pantry.

Friday 1.4.13: Purge 5 items from your laundry room.
