Weight Check!

My soley breast fed baby weighed 19 lbs 10 ounces today at his check up. He is in the 55th percentile for weight.I am so happy his pedi is happy with his weight.

She wants us to begin solids ( 8 1/2 mos ) now for iron in his diet. The boobies are doing their job after such a rough start.

Yay! I have PCOS and IGT so I'm struggling to make enough milk for my newb so I know how hard that can be. What wonderful news that he is EBF and thriving!

Yay! As for the iron levels, my little guy had slightly low levels also, so every day I'm alternating with egg yolk, liver, and fish eggs.

Congrats on the great weight gain! It's so reassuring to know you have EBF your baby and is doing so well. So many people can make you feel like you're not doing enough if you're not feeding your baby rice cereal by 3 months even though we are all equipped with more than enough to provide for our babies.
