Embellishing PUL diapers

with a cotton panel on the back... have you done it? Does it work? Does it wick through? I mean like making a ruffle out of a strip of cotton fabric and then stitching it on with a straight stitch.

Re: Embellishing PUL diapers

I have seen snap-on ruffles for diapers, not sure about stitching cotton to the back. This isn't exactly what you want to do, but here is a tut on embellishing tabs with cotton or any other fabric:

I would think you could do it...make the ruffles from the cotton, and sew them onto the back of the diaper cut out. Then cut another piece of pul from your pattern, only like half the diaper and use a glue stick to glue that piece of pul to the other one, wrong sides together. Then when you finish your diaper, treat those two as one piece. Clear as mud? lol

If you happen to have a Babyville Boutique book, they describe what I'm trying to, except they're doing it with an applique or embroidery.
