Re: January Stash Game Chatter thread

Cute totes and owl soaker. If I spent all that time crocheting, there is no way I could use those as dishclothes!! But that would take me forever, because I don't know what I'm diong.

Here's what I got done today.

This is a reversible dress that I am in love with. I wish I could keep it for my girls. It wouldn't fit though. It's for a friend's little girl, who is turning 1 this spring. I plan to make her a matching diaper cover to go with it.

This is the flip side. I am now out of red lace, this ribbon, and only have a few bits of both of these fabrics left Trying to decide what to do with the rest, because I really like them.

My first attempt at sewing a mama cloth storage/wetbag. We'll see if it holds up. Diaper cover...trying to decide if this is going to the same friend or to charity. I had to piece 5 pieces to get this cover done, so I'm out of print PUL too. Not buying fabric is a drag.

I loved the Pee Pee tee pees! Did I see some Micheal Miller bicycle fabric?

The reversible dress is cute! Is there a pattern or a tutorial link you want to share? (I think I could just take a pillow case dress pattern. Sew the sides on 2 of them. Then stitch them together at the top wrong side out with the ribbon in place and then turn it right side out, iron a hem, pin in the lace and sew together the bottoms? )

Love the dresses! Crocheted dishclothes (or knitted probably, as well) make the best dishclothes. They are my favorite to use. The only bummer is when they get stinky if they sit too long wet and you have to bleach them... the color fades somewhat. But the weight of them, the way they catch crumbs, and the texture is perfect for kitchen use. I wish I was faster at crocheting though as well!

Oh that's a huge bummer! That's how my pregnancies are. I have to mentally prepare myself for that before hand. It lasts well into the 2nd tri for me

Re: January Stash Game Chatter thread

I've been working on converting some undies DH got me for Christmas from regular elastic to lastin. (Latex allergy) I spent over a hour seam ripping off the elastic waistband(so I could re-use it for the kids or something) and then I serged on a band of cotton at the top. I go to get my bag of lastin... it's gone! I used it last a few days before christmas to make my PJ pants. I also still can't find my snap pliers or any of my kam snaps! I'm getting really annoyed at not being able to actually finish stuff! My rotary cutter is also missing. I even had DH come up to my craft room and help me look because I can't figure out how I could have lost all this stuff! My craft room is more organized than it has ever been and now I can't find the stuff I need. I spent 2 hours up there I could have been sewing searching through each bin, each tote, moving everything....Still can't find them!
