That's what I was recommended to eat on MFP and I had a hard time sticking to it :-/
Also, on the mobile app how do you log in exercise? It says to log in calories burned but what if I don't know how many calories I burned? For example : I did Zumba last night for an hour but I have no idea how to find out how many calories I burned doing that. Any ideas?
I have a hard time staying at 1200 if I don't work out that day, but I have done it. On no workout days, I try to keep my breakfast between 150-200 calories. Sometimes I'll have a piece of higher calorie fruit (banana), bagel with cream cheese, etc. Lunch will depend on my breakfast, but generally between 250-300 calories (salads with boiled egg, turkey, etc or sandwich with low calorie bread, no dressing.) 3pm snack will be between 100-200 calories, and dinner around 600-700 calories.

As far as counting calories to add for exercise, there are online calculators you can use. Personally, I use the Weight Watchers bonus calculator. It lets me put in my weight and minutes exercised, then whether it was light, moderate, or heavy activity. WW let's you add 1 point for every hundred calories burned (disclaimer: this is the 2007 plan so it might be different now) so if it says I earned 2.9 points, I assume I burned around 290 calories. I always, always, always round down, so in the case of 290 calories, I would only count 150-200 depending on my mood. I just don't want to over calculate, know what I mean? My workouts can also be very high intensity and wouldn't be out of the ordinary to burn 600-800 calories, but the most I will count is 500. I figure burning anything else is bonus.

I keep mine at 1300 because I won't feel guilty for eating 1250 or whatever. I just need the wiggle room since you shouldn't be under 1200. I eat about 200 for breakfast - I juice or eat cereal or eggs. Lunch I try to stick to a salad or wrap, 300-400. Dinner is whatever's on the menu, I don't do "diet foods" and DH needs a good meal after a long day. About 500-700 cal. Any extra calories I snack on boiled eggs, crackers, string cheese...or save for a treat

With the app you add exercise just like food. Search for the activity and enter your time, it estimates calories burned. If Zumba's not in there try dancing or aerobics...something close. HTH!

I found a zumba calculator online that asked for my weight, length of exercise and light, moderate or heavy cardio. One hour of zumba for me at moderate ibtensity (I can still talk, just not as easily) is 780 calories.

I did zumba today for the first time and loved it!

According to mfp I have 350 of the 1290 calories im allowed left...I didnt factor in the calories I got for zumba. Im going to have a small protien rich snack before bed and call it a night!

Re: The 25lb Challenge January thread

The chocolate decadence mousse cake was to die for ....super rich and chocolatey...I had a double serving so appro. 260 calories. If anyone wants to try one I used this recipe and substituted the sugar for stevia (you can use splenda too ) http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/ch...decadence.html I did not make the candied oranges to go with it . I froze the rest in individually wrapped pieces for an occasional chocolate treat !

Re: The 25lb Challenge January thread

as much as I hate logging calories, I'm going to get back to it.
I tried looking through the last few pages for MFP user names but can't seem to find them but I know some of you posted yours.
So, if I'm not already your friend, please add me. I'm kiku76
