yeast feeds on sugar for sure! have you been checked for candida? I have been following the auto-immune protocol since last may/june... I can't add much sugar to my life. Even higher sugar fruits affect me! I also can't eat nightshades... I did successfully add back eggs, nuts and seeds thankfully...

Oh, I know my candida is related to sugar. I meant, I am now beginning to think that my candida is related to my autoimmune system being out of whack too. I am not following the strict protocol for autoimmune disorders yet thou. I have a hard enough time forcing myself to eat meat and stay away from sugar. Did it finally get easier for you?

ok ladies. I'm doing Whole 30 in March. I need this. I am tired of cheating and eating too much gluten and sugar and making myself feel like crap and wrecking my skin. I'm over it. I just need support cause OMG I love food that is just not good for me.

Is there a list any where online for appropriate/recommended serving sizes for different foods that are "allowed"?

I think the rule of thumb is eat until you are full, but don't stuff yourself. I know that portion size is important, but not as huge of a deal because you aren't necessarily restricting calories.

This is MDA's food pyramid http://www.marksdailyapple.com/how-t...#axzz2M3dyYIF1

Re: Paleo Chat Jan, Feb & March 2013

Today I will be 100% paleo. No excuses. I'm off to a good start....eggs, tukey and blackberries for breakfast.

Re: Paleo Chat Jan, Feb & March 2013

My fav snacks are beef jerky (homemade with ground beef so its cheap!), pistachios, almond butter with appleas....sometimes I do my version of a paleo pbj....spoon into almond butter than into crystalized raw oney. Raw veggies and fruit are good too. If I know I haven't eaten enough cals for the day I have been dipping almonds into butter and eating that (OMG is it good!).
