Re: January - Come share your goals and progress!

The next few days are crunch time. I've spent the last several days taking care of sick kids and DH got into a really bad accident a couple of days ago so I've been pretty tied up with all of them. My home visit with my midwife will be next week though so I need to get things wrapped up and get the house presentable. This is my list of stuff to finish before DD goes back to school on Monday.

-Be caught up on laundry
-Finish master bedroom
-Finish putting away Christmas decorations (DONE)
-Reorganize toys in living room after Christmas tree gets put away (DONE)
-Dust
-Vacuum whole house
-Sweep and mop kitchen/dining
-Sweep and mop bathrooms
-Deep clean bathrooms

Someone make the list stop growing!!

I swear it is always something. My parents decided to come and visit today, meaning a house clean, a lot of which was not due to be done yet. Plus the grocery, and I realized I cannot put Christmas away until after their visit since they are bring some.

Re: January - Come share your goals and progress!

This month before school goes back (31 Jan) I want all the big jobs that get put off done.

DS1 wardrobe (need to fix shelves)
DS2 &3 bedroom..take down posters that are to "babyish"...sort toys & clothes.
master b'room...stated, need to sort clothes & shelves (DH wants it to look more feminine..finally lol)
laundry..sort shelves & storage bins..move school uniforms to hot water cupboard in kitchen.
kitchen...clean out cupboard/shelves & top of fridge & m/wave & counter
sleep-out..It has turned into a big junk room so need to sort/biff/sell/give away, I have spent 1 day on this & out another 2 to go grr
shed...need to stack all rubbish in there till we can throw it out

By the end of January my goal is to have a place for everything & everything in its place & get rid of all the crap & stuff that we don't need or use..so will sort out & sell toys, clothes & anything else we no longer use.

Re: January - Come share your goals and progress!

I wish I could actually make a to-do list but with my work schedule I can't ever be positive I will have time to do something. I have gotten a lot done since the new year started. DDs room is organized and I am mostly happy with it, my bathrooms are perfect, I have purged every room in the house and moved things around in my living room. The house is much more liveable now. I also have the will power to say no when someone offers me something for free. My dad is really bad about hoarding stuff or finding used stuff for free and taking it. He then offers it to me and I accept bc its free and I might need it some day haha

Some things I really want to get done soon....
-New ceiling fan hung (depends on my dad)
-New light fixture recovered then hung (dad has to hang)
-Find a new place to store what few books I have
-Finish rearranging my bedroom
-Hang and tag consignment items for February
-List diapers and other items I have for sale
-Package and ship 3 items (TONIGHT!!)
-Make a goodwill run
-Clean out my car

Ok these are things that I can accomplish with my small amount of time or things that I can move around and do them whenever. I hope I get them done this week!
