Re: Favorite newborn diapers

Thanks!! I have used lil joeys but didn't like the bulkiness and my babies usually can only wear them for a few days at best. My last baby was 8lbs 6oz. I used prefolds with thirsties and prefolds with flips just too much bulk on a tiny baby. I'm going to look into these other suggestions. Thanks so much.

Re: Favorite newborn diapers

For me I loved flat bc there was absolutely no bulk and I liked that for my tiny nb. SO we started with flats and bsww nb bc they were the perfect sized covers for my nbs

Re: Favorite newborn diapers

My son was 7#2oz. and could only fit into prefolds and Bummis Super Brites or Thirsties covers. Easy and cheap.

I loved prefolds with xs Thirsties covers, Thirsties Duo diapers size 1, HH minis (although it was hard to stuff), and my all time favs were nb BG AIOs! I tried GroVia nb too, and while the fit was awesome on my 5lber, it wasn't absorbant enough for him. They have changed it to a hemp/cotton blend soaker now tho so it might work better.

In the past Ive loved: NB Mutts, Premie Prefolds, XS BGs, Snappiable Fitteds, and many other random NB WAHM Fitteds, Nanas Bottom AIOs
Didn't Like: Lil Joeys (Too much bulk, not enough absorbebcy) , Kissaluvs ( Well they were ok but needed a doubler making them quite bulky)

Re: Favorite newborn diapers

A couple of people I know LOVE the fit of the kawaii little green baby bamboo. Has good slim fit and absorbency. Weight range is 6-22lbs so can be used for more than just NB stage but without being too bulky. Only downside I've been told is that the pocket is harder to stuff because the diaper is nice and trim. But if you have smaller hands or one of your other children could help on stuffing duty it wouldn't be much of an issue especially if trim fit is what you are looking for. Best part is that they have a super cheap price tag for a pocket bamboo with out losing out on quality. Just ordered a few myself for my 12lb baby girl. Looking forward to trying them out myself.

My absolute favorite are nb simplex, awesome fit, still fit my ds at 10 weeks, 12lbs. My second favorite are orange work horse, again still fit him, though i have made some shorter 2ply hemp boosters, that i like to put in them, but i put them in most diapers just to make sure we don't leak. I also really like happy hieney's smalls, i didn't get those until he was 9.5lbs. But with the cross over tabs, some of those have, i could have definitely used them at nb one he lost the umbilical stump.
