best type of fleece for liner?

I'm going to make a fleece liner to wick away moisture from my son's sensitive skin. I was told microfleece or polar fleece is best. What do you guys think?

I could be wrong but I don't think polar fleece wicks, just the microfleece. I just get mine from Walmart in the scrab fabric section, they always have lots of fleece. Then I just cut it into the size I want for liners, it doesn't fray so no sewing. Easy!

Re: best type of fleece for liner?

Most any fleece will work, but I like the super thin fleece. I find baby blankets made of it occassionally and cut those up. Most fabric store fleece is quite thick and it works, but I like the thin stuff. I usually pick it up at garage sales and thrift stores when I see it.

I don't even know what kind of fleece mine are. I just bought a yard of clearance fleece and cut it up! So that tells you how much it matters honestly all it does is help their bottom stay dry and catch poop (so much easier to dump off of fleece vs cotton).

this. Any will work, but I liked the thinner so it did not add bulk

Re: best type of fleece for liner?

I got mine from Diaper Sewing Supplies its called cuddle dry microfleece (CDMF) works great and is milled specifically to be thin and wick moisture.. & you only need a yard so its pretty cheap
